Why I'm Running

Over the last four years, I have had the honour of representing the community as Airy Ward Councillor.  We have made great progress in laying the foundation for South Algonquin.

  • Strategic Plan was updated providing us with a clearer direction.
  • The Official Plan was updated providing a framework for future land use and development.
  • Comprehensive Zoning Bylaws are now being reviewed to reflect the Official Plan.
  • Asset Management Plan for a better understanding of infrastructure and long-term asset needs. (roads, bridges, buildings, equipment)
  • Economic Development Plan providing direction for strengthening our local economy
  • Recreation and Community Safety and Well-being Plan focusing on quality of life and community vitality for all ages.
  • Boat Launch and Trail Master Plan to be completed Dec. 2026. This plan will give us direction to improve our assets and increase tourism.
  • Accessibility Plan – ensuring all infrastructure assets meet the Ontario Accessibility Standards. Now and in the future.

Now it’s time to build on the progress we have made.
